Someone asked me on one of my transformation posts my “secret” to my flat abs/stomach. I thought I would share them. EVEN THOUGH its not a secret.
.
Pre babies and post babies this is what I have always DONE because it works for me and this is a lifestyle.
.
- Im consistently following workouts & workout programs that WORK. I dont do random ass workouts. I follow programs that work. Im consistent with them…as in I have been doing workouts like this for 8 years. All different kinds but they are all proven to work.
- Im consistently following an 80/20 nutrition plan. Which means I enjoy treats, drinks and comfort food. I do not believe in restricting (unless medically called for or you have sensitivities to foods). I dont follow low carb or keto or any “fad” diets. Im consistent with healthy eating and enjoying treats when I want them. This helps prevent yoyo dieting & binging. Also helps me not “fall off.”
- Im CONSISTENT. This is my LIFESTYLE. It is not an eat healthy & workout to lose weight kinda thing for me. I dont workout for a size or a number. I workout and eat healthy for mental health, to be healthy long term for my family and to build strength. These are the reasons I show up every day. I dont workout hours a day because something I couldnt be consistent with. My workouts are 25-45 minutes a day. I dont follow restrictive diets because again I cant be consistent with that.
- I enjoy the process. I enjoy challenging my body. I enjoy trying new foods and switching things up. I have learned to enjoy the process and not stress over the number on the scale, the non thigh gab or the size.
.
Those are the simple things I do CONSISTENTLY. So I take some supplements but its not the supplements that get my results. Its being CONSISTENT with it all that gets me results. So if you are struggling with your health&fitness progress….ask yourself…are you being consistent with the things above?! And by consistent I mean longer than a week, a month, heck even 3 months.
.
This journey to health is just that a journey. There is NO END point until we die. So lets make sure we are doing things we can stick to for that journey. Making fitness fun. Eating foods we enjoy but making them healthier. And enjoying the whole process. <3
